POOL VICTORY by Bowles A over Robinson's recently helped to complete a second Portadown Pool League trophy double in as many seasons.
This season’s haul includes the league championship and Vaughan Gates Memorial Shield - although Robinson’s pushed the on-song Bowles men all the way.

Mervyn Rainey put Bowles A into the lead by beating Barry Beattie.

Alan Parr had to battle for almost a full hour before edging out Jason Crozier on behalf of Robinson’s.

Bowles A then enjoyed back-to-back wins by Wayne Weir and Gary Crozier senior over, respectively, Ally Hunniford and Geoff Farr.

Alex Hoyle added another win to the Bowles A tally, with Trevor Pentland losing out.

Alvin Gates kept Robinson’s in contention at the expense of Don Blevins but Gareth Donaldson secured the vital victory for Bowles.

Steven Robinson added a consolation to the tally for Robinson’s by proving too strong for James Mullen.

In Division One, Robinson’s B lost out to Tavern by 7-1.

Seagoe now lead the Division Two standings following a 5-3 success over Shamrock and a 6-2 scoreline for Legion against Chalet.
