PORTADOWN'S Adam Carroll registered pole position, fastest lap, a Sprint victory and a runner-up placing during a memorable weekend in China for Team Ireland.
Carroll and his colleagues now hold second spot in the overall A1GP World Cup of Motorsport standings following round two of this season's event.
The performance by Carroll marked Team Ireland's strongest in the history of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport and secured a haul of 23 points.
Carroll dominated the Sprint outing - sealing pole position, recording fastest lap and a lights-to-flag win as a result at the Chengdu circuit.
Team Ireland maintained a position inside the top three over the course of the Feature race for a fifth podium appearance in nine outings.
"It has been a fantastic weekend and a real team effort," said Carroll. "Gerry Hughes has done a great job engineering the car and the boys did a great job of putting the car together and really nailing the pit stops again.

"The Sprint race went to plan and once I had managed to fend off Robert Doornbos into turn one it was all about putting the head down and focusing on my own race.
"I was delighted at the way we were able to turn fast and consistent laps through to the end and a lights-to-flag win with fastest lap is the elusive full house.
"It's a great achievement for us all.
"The second race also went well and the most important thing was another strong podium finish, plus the best points total.
"I'm looking forward to Sepang, although it is a completely different character of track but one that I think will suit me and I hope we can continue this good run."
Round three of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport will take place in Malaysia on November 23.
