PORTADOWN ladies' firsts finished with a share of the spoils from Saturday's visit to Coleraine following a 1-1 draw.
A positive start by the town ladies resulted in Leeanne Cassells breaking the deadlock thanks to a superb reverse-stick chip from the edge of the circle.
Coleraine increased the pressure, however, as play progressed and managed to level before ha
lf-time.
Portadown continued to attack over the second half but had to spend the closing stages on the backfoot to protect the point.
Portadown will face Senior One-based Priorians tomorrow (Saturday) in the Irish Junior Cup.
PORTADOWN ladies’ seconds suffered a 2-0 reverse last weekend against University College Cork despite a battling performance.
Cork carved out four penalty corners in as many minutes before Portadown regrouped to create openings from open play.
Cork scored on two occasions without reply in the second half.
PORTADOWN ladies’ under 14s will take part in a league programme this weekend at Edenvilla Park.
