INDISCIPLINE cost Portadown seconds dearly against Lisburn.

Ultimately the penalty count in Lisburn’s favour outweighed much of Portadown’s positive work which had seen tries by Stephen Boyce and captain, Alan Robinson, give them an early advantage.

A hat-trick of penalties by full-back, Andrew Brisbane, enabled Portadown to keep pace. Even so, the visitors managed to secure victory due mainly to their ability to show greater control in what was a keenly disputed contest.
