NETBALL: PORTADOWN ladies' seconds lost out to Larkfield by 43-39 recently in Lismore.
Both teams impressed over the opening quarters, with Portadown looking strong thanks to interceptions by Lynn Catney and Rebekah McNally.

Joanne Heasley - Portadown’s player/manager - entered play in the second half in place of vice-captain, Shirleen McCullough.

Portadown reduced the deficit to within a few goals but could not increase the team’s tally before the close of play.

McNally was named Portadown’s best player.
