Busy weekend at Armoy Rugby Club
During the session John O’Boyle from Wilsons of Rathkenny called up to present a sponsorship cheque to Armoy RFC treasurer Tony Breen. This on going sponsorship is a much needed boost for the club and the mini’s were there to say a big thanks from all at Armoy RFC.
Into the afternoon the snow had cleared and we welcomed Academy RFC to Limepark for a much anticipated league fixture.

Hide AdDespite a promising start from the Lime Park men thanks to an early Barry Kelly try Armoy failed to produce further scores that their play deserved andeventually succumbedto three late tries.
However was a promising debut from new recruit James Scott who put in an impressive performance on the wing.
IRELAND WOMENS’ RUGBY
World Rugby has announced details of the first-ever official global ranking system for women’s test rugby. Ireland, the defending Six Nations champions are ranked 4th behind World Champions England, France and New Zealand.
The rankings were introduced after a comprehensive process of obtaining and analysing every result from the first official women’s international matches dating back to 1987 and are based on the same criteria as the men’s rankings.
