Hanover squandered three headed attempts on goal during a weekend blank against Crewe United.

Aerial efforts arrived for James Sergeant and Chris Kerr over the course of the scoreless draw as Hanover lacked the cutting edge required to gain control.

Clear sights of goal proved limited for both sets of players.

“Crewe have added to the squad, including players with Irish League experience,” said Hanover’s Dean Crowe. “It was a good performance overall and we limited the Crewe threat, with a bonus another clean sheet.

“We just could not create enough clear openings but it was a solid team performance overall.”
