Annagh United offered an insight into future plans by finishing the season with a teenage backline.
Manager Nigel Armstrong turned to Adam White, Mark Whitten, Jordan Campbell and Ross Wilson for the defensive unit to take on Donegal Celtic.
Any frustration at the 3-2 defeat was reduced by the knowledge of NIFL Championship One safety prior to kick-off.
“It certainly was a much more relaxed afternoon than could have been the case,” said Armstrong. “We decided to use the match as an opportunity to try out some of the younger guys together and it provided excellent experience.
“They improved as play progressed, with Scott McCordick and Jaime Gardiner impressive in attack as our two scorers.
“Now the priority is to secure the current squad for next season.
“After that we can look at signings.”
Annagh’s senior awards - plus a prize ceremony for the under 13s and under 14s - will run on May 14.
