Knockmenagh Swifts’ remarkable record of silverware increased last week to include the Mid-Ulster League Division Three title - without having to kick a ball.
Union Lusa’s failure to field a side left the Swifts with the midweek outcome required to wrap up a second successive Mid-Ulster championship.
“It was not the ideal way to win it but still a great finish to a long season,” said Swifts manager Gareth Hoey. “We have won at least one trophy in each of our three years since the club’s formation.
“It is a testament to the hard work put by everyone and you can see the hunger in the squad to continue that progress.”
The Swifts lost out last weekend, as champions, to Castlecaulfield - with Sean Devlin pushing his personal tally to 32.
