Dermot Kelly’s assist double secured delight for St Mary’s from the visit to Banbridge Rangers.

Kelly proved the playmaker as Sean Brady and Brendan Hagan finished on the scoresheet in a 2-0 success.

It marked the latest post-festive upturn in fortunes for the Saints.

“We have been flying since Christmas, with confidence really good at the minute and the lads working hard,” said St Mary’s player/manager Conor Hagan. “Sean scored an acrobatic scissor-kick and Brendan’s bullet header was excellent.

“However, the defence also proved outstanding overall and Ciaran Rooney has add a great dynamic to midfield.

“We now have three league wins on the bounce.”
