MID-ULSTER LEAGUE DIVISION THREE
RECTORY RANGERS 8
MOIRA ALBION 1

COLIN Corkin walked away with the match ball on Saturday – with the middle goal in his hat-trick run providing the game’s highlight.

Corkin raced on to meet a defensive clearance with a long-range volley that arrowed into the top corner of the net.

It handed Corkin a spectacular second goal on his way to last weekend’s treble.

Joel McConnell followed Corkin in the Rectory Rangers scoring stakes by bagging a brace.

Other goals were scored by the hosts’ Scott Richardson, Gareth Smith and Graeme Bunting.

“Colin’s volley from around 25 yards out was one of the best goals I have ever seen,” said Rectory’s Mark McMurdie. “We kept plugging away as a team and finally got the rewards with a really strong second-half performance.”

RECTORY RANGERS: Gary Lutton, Graeme Bunting, Scott Richardson, Michael Richardson, Wayne Hanna, Kyle McMullen, RJ Trainor, Colin Corkin, Gary Smyth, Joel McConnell, Gary Simmons. Subs: Cecil McCann, Andrew McCandless.
