Easter coaching camps

THE Ambassadors’ four-day Easter coaching camp will run from Wednesday, April 11 in the Clendinning area.

Staged under the Ambassadors In Sport banner, the course based just off the Mahon Road is open to 7-14 year olds.

Running times across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are 10.30-3 o’clock, with the final day scheduled for 9-12 o’clock.

Visit www.aisireland.com for a registration form and the camp cost is £20, with family discounts available. Each player will collect a leather football at the end of the Soccer School.

The Ambassadors In Sport Soccer Schools programme presents an opportunity to learn basic and advanced skills in a fun, positive and encouraging Christian environment.

“We have organised soccer schools in the past but this one is special as we hope to make the area our home and impact on the local community,” said Stewart Glass, Ambassadors In Sport Soccer Schools co-ordinator. “We recently leased and reinstated the pitch at the old Army barracks with generous help from Turkington’s and Cecil Haffey. “This will mark the first use of the pitch but we have other events planned across the year and it will also be used by our Mid-Ulster Football League side.”

THE Irish Football Association-organised coaching camp at Craigavon Leisure Centre will operate from Wednesday, April 11 across three days.

Daily sessions run between 10-1 o’clock and the camp is open to boys and girls aged 5-14 years old.
