Scarva Rangers secured a third success of the Mid-Ulster League Division Two campaign thanks to second-half goals against Stranmillis.

Stuart Wilson’s double save proved the highlight before the break and Scarva pushed on after the interval following a finish by half-time substitute Gareth Dale.

A red card left Stranmillis on the backfoot before Greg Douglas steered in a free-kick from distance.

Stranmillis, however, produced a goal to place struggling Scarva under pressure across the closing stages.

Douglas had a penalty kick saved by Stranmillis before Stephen Gass collected Rod Douglas’ header and raced clear of the hosts to seal victory.

Scarva proved resolute before Scarva’s third goal with key clearances.
