Mid-Ulster Football League-based Hanover head off to Germany tomorrow (Friday) morning for a special anniversary celebration.

Around 65 officials, players, past members and guests will depart from Dublin on a four-day trip designed to mark the Brownstown Park club’s 50th anniversary.

The first key stop is a visit to Hamburg’s home clash with Hertha Berlin on Friday evening in the Bundesliga.

The highlight, however, is Saturday’s group trip to namesakes Hannover 96 to watch the league game against Borussia Dortmund in the HDI-Arena.

Hanover’s anniversary dinner will take place in The Seagoe Hotel on Saturday, May 30.

Tickets cost £40 per person, with the price inclusive of a meal and entertainment which will feature a special guest speaker.

Club officials would like to hear from any former players, officials or fans keen to take a trip down memory lane.
