Loughgall joint manager Steven Hawe has praised the progress made by summer additions to the Lakeview Park roster.
The Villagers finished on level terms last weekend against Bangor in NIFL Championship One thanks to goals by Jamie Rea and Warner Mullen.
Rea, who arrived from Glenavon, found the net with a spectacular strike off Wilson Tavares’ pass.
Mullen proved crucial to last season’s successful battle against relegation.
Bangor placed Loughgall under pressure but both sides finished on level terms.
“We were really pleased with the passing around the first half,” said Hawe. “It was another step closer towards our ultimate target, in terms of a playing style.
“Nicky Hudson has come in and been excellent but missed the match to injury, with Aaron Walsh handed his debut in defence.
“Jamie scored another fine goal and how quickly our signings have settled in has been a real boost.
“They have hit the ground running alongside last season’s squad and it is brilliant when you can give someone an opportunity at this level and they step up.”
Loughgall will switch focus from league commitments to an opening defence of the Bob Radcliffe Cup - with Camlough Rovers of the Mid-Ulster Football League at Lakeview Park on Saturday from 2.30.
“I have played in three Bob Radcliffe Cup finals and know how much it is valued at this club,” said Hawe. “We will treat Camlough with respect but obviously want to progress.”
