Loughgall will attempt to add another Bob Radcliffe Cup title to the club’s record haul with a Boxing Day derby defeat of Armagh City.
This weekend’s festive showpiece at Lakeview Park will hand the defending champions a final test against the 2014 winners of the Mid-Ulster Football Association knockout tournament.
Loughgall can boast 12 previous triumphs since the inception of the Bob Radcliffe Cup across the 1978/79 season.
City have lifted the prize on three occasions in the past but just three points divide the rivals in the NIFL Championship One table.
The Villagers enjoyed derby success in last year’s final against Annagh United and will be aiming for a repeat result this weekend.
Preparations for Loughgall have been disrupted by a lack of competitive football due to adverse weather conditions and fixture issues.
However, hopes remain high for a successful trophy defence.
Kick-off tomorrow (Saturday) will be 11 o’clock.
