Howard’s prize joy
MOTORSPORT TANDRAGEE’S Ian Howard was presented with the Clubman of the Year award at the recent Association of Northern Ireland Car Clubs’ prize ceremony.
Howard is a co-ordinator of the ANICC Sprint Championship, respected motorsport engineer and prolific competitor.
Over 200 prizes were distributed on the night in the Armagh City Hotel - covering motorsport disciplines including autotesting, racing, hill climbing and rallying.
Also present, to collect his Junior 10000 Rally Challenge Ireland Championship title, was Portadown’s Ben Crealey following a successful season for the teenager in the programme open to drivers aged 14 to 17 year olds.
Markethill’s Darren Gass, the current holder of the Tarmac Rally Championship honour, was listed as a nominee for the main ANICC Motorsport Award.
