Last chance to buy your dinner ticket

TICKETS remain on sale for the Mid-Ulster Football Association’s 125th anniversary celebrations on Saturday, May 26.

The closing day for purchase is Monday, May 14 - with tickets available for £40 per person in Lurgan’s Mechanics’ Institute between 7.45-8 o’clock.

Special guests will include Michael O’Neill - the current Northern Ireland manager - and a number of internationals for the function in The Armagh City Hotel.

Recent Mid-Ulster Football League reports and results are as follows:

PORTADOWN BBOB lost out to Armagh Rovers by 5-2 on Friday night in the town side’s final fixture.

Stuart Guy’s cross on three minutes allowed Nathan Martin to break the deadlock for BBOB at the second attempt.

However, Rovers entered the interval up by 2-1.

The Old Boys’ equaliser was scored by Jonathan Gaythwaite from Chris Kerr’s measured pass.

John Wilson and Matt Anderson came close but Rovers finished 5-2 up at the close of play.

On Saturday, Union Lusa shared the spoils in a Division Four scoreless draw away to Milford Swifts.

Cathal McCaffery scored two goals and was joined on the St Mary’s scoresheet by Kyle Mulholland and Luke Carvill in the Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division One defeat of Dollingstown by 4-3.

Laurelvale had Johnny Hamilton and Mark Hazley on target in a 5-4 success at home to Glenavy during Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division Two.

Simon McClean and Paul McCammon were the Markethill Swifts scorers on Saturday. Stuart Guy’s goal provided the sole Portadown BBOB response.

In Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division Three, Richhill eased home on the road against Banbridge AFC with a 5-1 success.

Seagoe enjoyed victory by 8-2 against Broomhedge, with Blacker’s Mill drawing a blank in the 5-0 defeat to Lisanally Rangers.
