Portadown BBOB produced a strong second-half performance to see off derby rivals Scarva Rangers.

William Donaldson’s penalty kick provided an early boost before Scarva hit back thanks to Kyle Foster off Alex Hammond’s knockdown.

The Old Boys claimed control after the interval but had to wait until the closing moments to regain the upper hand.

An own goal arrived after Donaldson attacked Daniel Robb’s corner-kick.

Adam Hobson hit the crossbar but Matt Donaldson tucked away the rebound to see off a depleted Scarva side with no fewer than five outfield players over the age of 40 years old. Sam Boyd proved a threat for Scarva.
