Adam Nesbitt’s weekend double provided Annagh United reserves with safe passage into the Marshall Cup quarter-finals.

The striker was one of several with senior Irish League experience in the Annagh panel against The Ambassadors.

Nesbitt kicked off the scoring inside five minutes and doubled his tally before the break.

“Both sides had chances in the first half,” said The Ambassadors’ Keith Calvin. “We had a decent spell in the second but couldn’t score.”
