Michael O’Hehir hit home a weekend hat-trick as St Mary’s marched into the Marshall Cup’s second round.

The Saints proved too strong for hosts Seapatrick thanks to Neil McKee’s early finish and a first of the tie for O’Hehir.

Marc Davison’s header increased the lead before O’Hehir’s double either side of in-form Ruairi Feeney converting a Sean Brady cross.

“We have a good balance in the side at the minute,” said St Mary’s Gerry Fay. “Neil has come into midfield and been excellent, with Ruairi and Sean linking well up top.

“Ryan McKee forms a good midfield partnership with Neil.

“Getting the early goal was a big help against Seapatrick and we are starting to achieve some consistency.”
