Daniel Macartney finished with four first-half goals as Portadown BBOB found the net nine times to see off Gilford Crusaders.

The 9-3 victory kicked off with Crusaders grabbing the opening goal.

However, a superb response led to Macartney putting the sides level before increasing his tally to three.

Matt Donaldson’s volley and an own goal left BBOB flying high with a 5-1 lead.

Crusaders added a second goal but BBOB finished the first half with two additional efforts thanks to Macartney and Donaldson.

BBOB held a 7-2 advantage at the start of the second half and Crusaders claimed the tie’s next goal thanks to a free-kick finish.

William Donaldson then steered home a spot-kick before John Henderson closed out the scoring.

PORTADOWN BBOB: Chris Hall, Gary Donaldson, Samuel Thornbury, Nathan Martin, Gareth McCombe, William Donaldson, Matthew Donaldson, John Graham, Alan Ritchie, Adam Hobson, Daniel Macartney. Subs: John Henderson, Andrew Donaldson, Stuart Guy.
