COACHING staff with Irish League experience will be on hand tomorrow (Saturday) at Brownstown Park during open trials for Portadown FC Youth.

Trevor Williamson (current Portadown first-team coach) and Gary McCullough (former Loughgall assistant manager) will team up with Portadown Youth’s Nigel Armstrong to conduct the sessions for players born on or after January 1, 2002.

Players are required for next season’s Mid-Ulster and Lisburn league competitions and the session will run from 10-11 o’clock.

PLAYERS from Portadown-based Union Lusa will be on show this weekend as part of the Timor Cultural Festival Celebration Of 10th Year Restoration Of Independence.

The event at Oxford Sunnyside’s Knockramer Park in Lurgan will start at 11 o’clock with children’s games and entertainment before youth football under the guidance of qualified coaching staff.

A game between Union Lusa and Sport Loriko Timor will kick off at 2 o’clock.

A bus will depart from Portadown’s The Tunnel Bar at 10.30 to the Goodyear venue, with everyone welcome to attend.
