Four players from Portadown Youth enjoyed recent recognition with the Club NI programme.

Josh Roney and Darren Robinson were on show as representatives of the club’s National League under 12s.

The National League under 13s’ Matt Creighton and Josh Irwin were also selected.

Games were held in Crumlin between Club NI squads and the North Dublin Schoolboys’ League.

“Well done to the lads on your selection and in doing the club proud,” said a Portadown Youth spokesman. “More evidence of the development of our players.

“It’s fantastic for the club.”

Callum Ferris and George Curran, from the National League under 15s, recently spent time on trial with Glasgow Rangers.

Youth officials have confirmed a fresh date for the under 15s’ Lisburn League Shield final against Ballyclare Colts remains under review.
