A letter has been sent to club chairman Roy McMahon by the Portadown Supporters’ Society to highlight “concerns with issues at the club”.

The fans’ group recently submitted the request for a meeting with McMahon and a statement by the Portadown Supporters’ Society (PSS) confirmed the need for dialogue.

“The PSS would like supporters to know that its members have constructed and sent a letter to Roy McMahon regarding our and supporters’ concerns with issues at the club at the current time,” reads the statement, “Within the letter we have requested a meeting with Roy to discuss these concerns and issues further.

“We are currently awaiting a reply to the letter which was only sent recently.

“Any supporters who wish to raise any concerns with us can do so on match days or via slo@portadownfc.co.uk.”

Defeat to Ballinamallard United last weekend pushed Portadown into the bottom half of the Danske Bank Premiership table.

Defending league champions Crusaders visit Shamrock Park on Saturday.
