Portadown manager Ronnie McFall is calling on the fans and players to use the previous home match as motivation for Linfield’s weekend visit to Shamrock Park.

The Ports play host to Linfield tomorrow (Saturday) in the Danske Bank Premiership aiming for a repeat of the recent 3-2 success enjoyed against
Carrick Rangers.

That victory provided a welcome win following six successive defeats for Portadown - with last weekend’s draw on the road at Ballymena another forward step.

“It is going to be important to be on the front foot from the start,” said McFall. “Irrespective of form, any match with Linfield is a big test and we must be on top of our game.

“We can all take confidence from the Carrick result and performance last time out at home.

“That last Carrick game will motivate everyone ahead of the visit by Linfield.”

Kick-off at Shamrock Park will be 3 o’clock, with Portadown supporters to enter via the Rectory
Park turnstiles.
