McGibbon held talks at Shamrock Park with the bulk of the squad as the first formal step in the process of reshaping the roster entering his first summer as permanent Ports boss.

“I would describe everything as productive and I had conversations with the majority of the players,” said McGibbon. “Chris Casement has submitted a transfer request and Ross Redman indicated his desire to leave earlier in the week.

“Ken Oman has indicated he wants to sign a new contract and we certainly want to keep him at the club.

“I still need to speak to some of the players but today was a constructive first step.

“The idea is to formalise everything over the next few weeks.”
