A capacity crowd met in Tandragee Golf Club on Saturday to celebrate the first Irish League title win in Portadown’s history.

Guests included Stevie Cowan and Sandy Fraser - one of the Irish League’s greatest strike partnerships - as fans and current players marked the 25th anniversary of the landmark achievement.

Other players from that 1990 squad in attendance included captain Brian Strain, Alfie Stewart, Gregg Davidson, Ian Curliss, Roy McCreadie, Joey Cunningham and Mickey Keenan.

David Burrows won the raffle of Sandy Fraser’s Irish League medal.

A total of £2,000 will now go towards the family of former Portadown player David Mills.
