Portadown wrapped up the NIFL Youth League Section B title on Saturday at Kernan Playing Fields.

The club’s under 19s entered last weekend’s penultimate fixture as league leaders, with promotion into the senior division previously wrapped up.

Second-placed Ballyclare Comrades Colts came to town in search of a win to keep alive title hopes - with the Ports crowned champions off any reward.

Ballyclare took an early lead on an afternoon which featured three failed penalty kicks by Portadown but overall victory.

Nathaniel Ferris scored two goals - with additional efforts by Jay Ludlow, Josh Norton and Paddy McPartland.

PORTADOWN THIRDS: Stefan Graham, Scott Megaw, Marcus Smylie, Caolan O’Neill, Daniel Hume, Jacob Taylor, Joel Adams, Paddy McPartland, Nathaniel Ferris, Josh Norton, Adam Brown. Subs: Jay Ludlow, Peter Campbell, Peter Mulholland, Ryan McKeown.

Portadown thirds celebrate at Kernan Playing Fields following a title-winning victory last month. The venue will now play host this summer to IFA Nutty Krust Summer Holiday Camps.
