Rangers see off leaders

MID-ULSTER LEAGUE  DIVISION THREE RECTORY RANGERS 2 RED STAR 1

RECTORY Rangers’ unbeaten start to the 2013 league campaign featured victory over the division’s leading side on Saturday.

It provided Rangers with two wins and one draw since the turn of the year.

Play proved tight overall but Red Star entered the break in control by 1-0.

However, a strong second-half performance by Rangers allowed Joel McConnell to equalise courtesy of a close-range header.

McConnell was also on the scoresheet during the closing seconds thanks to a speculative cross for Rangers’ second of the afternoon.
