Rectory edge clear of derby rivals to claim league points

MID-ULSTER RESERVE LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

WAYNE Holland and John Gallacher grabbed the goals as Bourneview YM finished out in front last weekend over Hill Street.

Geoff Smyth, Dean Currie and David Watterson were the leading players in the 2-1 success.

MID-ULSTER RESERVE LEAGUE DIVISION THREE

DYLAN Byrne’s goal helped Seagoe share the spoils with Gilford Crusaders on Saturday, with Glenn Gracey the Portadown side’s leading player.

KRIS Blakely’s first-half finish placed Richhill in a commanding position last weekend against Silverwood United.

The match provided Neil Lester with a welcome return to action following a three-month absence due to injury. Sam Eakin also enjoyed a return to the Richhill side.

Brent Murray came close to breaking the deadlock before Glenn Spence and Eakin combined for Blakely to grab the game’s only goal.

Lester’s presence helped to protect the clean sheet and Adam Smyth looked sharp - with Silverwood reduced to 10 men before the close of play.

SCARVA Rangers suffered defeat by 4-0 on Saturday away to Lurgan Town - with Wayne Jordan and Alex Hammond the leading players.

MID-ULSTER RESERVE LEAGUE DIVISION FOUR

DARREN Cust, Matt Matchett and Jonathan Mulholland each found the net as Rectory Rangers defeated Dungannon Rovers by 3-2 in Saturday’s entertaining match.
