Johnny McKeever’s penalty save provided St Mary’s with the upper hand in Saturday’s derby date with Hanover.

Both sides enjoyed spells on top, with James Sergeant taking advantage of St Mary’s defensive confusion to break the deadlock on 10 minutes.

The Saints regrouped and turned the tables courtesy of two goals before the break.

Both arrived thanks to Chris Fay’s set-piece play - with Conor Jackson converting the equaliser off a free-kick before James Cullen steered in a corner-kick.

Ryan McKee hit the crossbar during a St Mary’s attack but the final talking point arrived with McKeever’s spot-kick stop.

St Mary’s players and officials would like to thank Roadside Motors in Armagh for matchday sponsorship.
