Keane, the current assistant manager with Republic of Ireland, has confirmed a visit to Armagh City Hotel on Thursday, February 4.

The fundraiser has been arranged by former Northern Ireland international Pat McGibbon to support his Craigavon-based Train To Be Smart TTBS Juniors football coaching charity.

Lurgan-born McGibbon, who recently joined Portadown’s backroom team, is delighted with the early response.

“The tickets have only been on sale for a week but there’s already been huge interest from football fans,” said McGibbon, a former Manchester United player. “But also from people who just want a good night out.

“We’ve had plenty of enquiries from women and men who want to get tickets as Christmas presents, for their partners or for themselves.”

The function will feature an interview with Keane on stage plus a question-and-answer session.

Tickets are available from Lurgan’s Skelton Travel at £65 per person, with corporate packages also on sale.
