Special All-Ireland presentation at Ballyhegan seniors’ awards night

CLODAGH McCann’s contribution to Armagh ladies’ All-Ireland title-winning campaign was a source of celebration during Ballyhegan’s senior prize night.

Alice Guy, Conor Loughran, Roger McCormack and Daniel McKeever collected honours to mark full competitive debuts across 2012 at the gala event in Portadown’s The Seagoe Hotel on Friday.

Other winners were as follows: Lisa Knox (senior ladies’ Player of the Year), Caitriona Laverty (senior ladies’ Young Player of the Year, award collected by Catherine McCormack); John Guy (senior men’s Player of the Year); Philip Kelly (senior men’s Young Player of the Year); Gerard Morgan (B Player of the Year).

THE latest club lotto numbers are 1, 8, 21 and 25. The jackpot now stands at £2,150, with the Three-Ball winners Margaret Donnelly, Joe McKeever and Catherine Tiffney.

A SUM of money was handed in to the club during the youth presentations. For further information contact a committee member.

THE annual general meeting has been booked for Friday, January 18 from 7 o’clock.

THE main pitch is now closed until further notice for essential maintenance work.

THE Winter Circuits fitness programme is set to run across Thursday nights for year eights to year 12s (under 16s) from 7-8 o’clock or 8.15-9.15 for minors and remaining players. Sessions cost £1 (under 18s) or £3.

ZUMBA Dance meetings have been planned for Monday nights in the clubrooms from 8.30 at the cost of £5.

THE Annaghmore AGM will take place on Sunday, December 9 from 11.30.

ON Sunday, December 16, a coffee morning has been planned - following the 10 o’clock Mass - in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. For further information contact Geraldine Cullen on 07796641543.

A family DVD screening and visit from Santa will be held on Sunday, December 23 from 3 o’clock, with admission £3 and further details to follow.

THE annual presentation night will take place in the clubrooms on Saturday, January 26, with music provided by Snakebite.

MEMBERS of The Friends Of The Earth Walking Club will meet on Mondays and Tuesday from 7,15 in, respectively, the clubrooms and Peatlands Park.

YOGA sessions will return to the club schedule on Monday, January 7 from 7.30 at the cost of £3.

IRISH Dancing sessions have been planned for Tuesdays from 6-7 o’clock.

LADIES’ circuits are planned for Wednesdays from 7 o’clock.

ORCHARD Fitness membership is now due to Geraldine Cullen or Gavin McGilly at the cost of £50 (adults) or £30 (students).
