Tir na nOg confirm youth training dates

GAELIC GAMES TIR NA NOG training details for underage players have been confirmed to start as follows:

FRIDAY, MARCH 1: under sixes (7 o’clock start); under eights and under 10s (8 o’clock start) - Drumcree College.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27: boys’ under 12s (7 o’clock start) – Churchill MUGA.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21: girls’ under 12s and girls’ under 14s (5.45 start) – Scout Den.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 17: minors (1 o’clock start) – in the park.

TRAINING will continue at Drumcree School each Sunday morning for the boys’ under 13s and under 14s.

THE under 16s will train each Sunday (in the park from 1.30) and Thursday (in the Scout Den from 7 o’clock).

BALLYHEGAN

BALLYHEGAN officials would like to hear from members interested in joining the national ladies’ referees’ panel.

Kieran McKeever is searching for six umpires to cover National League and Championship fixtures.

BOYS (UNDER 16s) Division Three Championship round one – Tullysaran v Ballyhegan (date to be confirmed). Division Three Championship quarter-finals – Tullysaran/Ballyhegan v Belleek/Corrinshego (date to be confirmed).

BOYS (MINORS) Division Three Championship quarter-finals – Ballyhegan v Derrynoose/Carrickcruppin (date to be confirmed).

MEN (SENIORS) Junior Championship – Ballyhegan v Tullysaran (date to be confirmed).

A ‘NIGHT At The Races’ will take place on Saturday, March 9 in The Famous Grouse.

The evening is set to feature a series of sponsored races, with everyone welcome to attend.

NAOMH Eoin players will entertain St Peter’s tomorrow (Saturday) from 2 o’clock in a Feile Shield preliminary-round match.

Training will take place each Wednesday night in Clonmore from 6-7 o’clock and for further information contact Mickey McCormack.

THE Naomh Eoin under sixes and under eights will meet each week from Friday, February 22 in Annaghmore clubrooms, running between 6.30-7.30.

ANNAGHMORE, in partnership with Down Armagh Rural Transport (DART), will be hosting accredited Driver Safety and Awareness Training as part of Right Tracks.

Funded by the Department of the Environment, the project is delivered free to participants and aimed specifically for drivers aged 18-24 years old or over 69.

A number of places remain open, with the course to run in Annaghmore Community Hall from 9 o’clock.

IRISH Dancing will be held each Tuesday from 6-7 o’clock.
