Charity event to take in country sights
PAUL McGrane and Clodagh McCann - two players with strong Armagh connections - were on hand to recently help launch the Ballyhegan ‘Park ‘n’ Stride’ fund-raiser in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The July 14 project will include events over 10km and 5km, taking in highlights such as the Ballyhegan orchards and Loughgall Country Park.
“We at Ballyhegan Davitts recognise the invaluable work of the Marie Curie Cancer Care team,” said McGrane. “We are privileged to share the proceeds from this event with such a worthy cause.
“I would urge all our members and friends from around the county to sign up to take part in what will be a really enjoyable day.”

“We at Marie Curie Cancer Care are delighted that Ballyhegan GFC have undertaken to raise much-needed funds for our services to the terminally ill,” said Dorothy Scott, Marie Curie Cancer Care (Craigavon fund-raising group). “We are so heavily dependent on the generosity of voluntary support that initiatives like this are very warmly welcomed.
“I wish Ballyhegan every success with this event.”
