Carrick got off to the worst possible start at Stangmore Park when Cormac Burke opened the scoring for the hosts as early as the sixth minute.
But Gary Haveron’s men came roaring back with goals from Linfield loanee Adam Salley and skipper Aaron Harmon heading them 2-1 in front at the interval.
Veteran striker Miguel Chines made sure of Carrick’s third win over the Swifts this season when he netted from the penalty spot on 69 minutes.

Next up for Carrick is a crucial showdown at home to Ballinamallard United on Saturday (April 30). Warrenpoint host Dungannon Swifts.
