Portadown will benefit from a bye into the quarter-finals of this year’s Nutty Krust Floodlit Tournament for under 18s.

Tuesday’s draw featured representatives of Irwin’s Bakery, the Irish Rugby Football Union and Ulster Rugby alongside host club officials at Chambers Park.

Ballynahinch, Dromore, Malone and Randalstown also automatically progress into the quarter-finals. Ballymena face Larne in the opening fixture on Wednesday, February 11 - followed across the next fortnight of midweek dates by Clogher Valley v Rainey then Omagh Accies v Banbridge.

The final is set for April 29.

Brian Irwin, company chairman of Irwin’s Bakery, issued a formal welcome. Special guests included John Kinnear (IRFU Ulster Branch president), Bobby Stewart (Ulster Rugby senior vice-president), Mark Crozier (Portadown president), Ian Wray (Portadown senior vice-president) and Annesley Renshaw (Portadown chairman).
