Chairman’s call for full support at crucial club date

Tir na nOg chairman Dessie Henderson has issued a reminder for club members to attend Sunday’s Development Meeting.

“This is the single most important meeting the club has held in years,” said Henderson. “It is vital to our development that all members and parents of underage players attend in the clubrooms from 5.30.

“In order to move forward we are relying on your attendance.”

Tir na nOg seniors finished down by 3-6 to 2-19 against Sarsfields.

Sarsfields scored a goal and early points before Paudy Judge found the net ahead of a commanding spell by the Derrytrasna outfit.

Anthony Smith pulled off a fine stop but Sarsfields held the lead by 11 points on 20 minutes.

Tir na nOg battled back to add a point off Marc Davidson ahead of Paul Carvill’s successful penalty.

Chris McDonald scored a point before the break and goal after the interval.

Tir na nOg under 10s entered two sides in the Go Games meeting at Maghery.

The under 12s defeated Wolfe Tones - with Michael Burnett, Diarmuid Tennyson, Andrew Wilson and Oisin Conaty in top form.

Conan Power and Eoin McConvey have been selected for the under 14s’ North Armagh Academy squad.

Tir na nOg B players lost out by a slender margin against Clan na Gael.
