Portadown officials remain confident this weekend will mark the welcome opening date of the Clubworld Travel New Year Tournament.

The competition has been restructured due to recent adverse weather conditions - with play reduced to six weeks of qualifying ahead of the matchplay fortnight.

The format will remain singles Stableford, with weekly section prizes.

Thanks go to Delia Aston and Stephen Aston for continued sponsorship support.
