Portadown players will attempt to bounce back from double relegation disappointment by using the league setbacks as a platform on which to rebuild.

League results across the Evergreens and Mixed competitions have left Portadown facing time in Division Four on two fronts.

However, it is hoped to use the campaigns as an opportunity to learn and develop for future tests.

Forthcoming challenges will include the Knockout Cup and Summer League across July and August.

Portadown’s final Mixed League Division Three match at home to Cavehill finished in a 5-3 reverse for an overall record of five defeats and one forfeit due to player shortage.

In the Evergreens, Portadown suffered three defeats and had to forfeit on four occasions from the seven-game schedule as a result of player shortage.

Club officials hope to prepare for the double drop into Division Four by analysing how to ensure the full quota of players from the Edenvilla Park roster.
