Craigavon launch the latest season on Monday with an invitation to the general public to try out the sport.

Sessions at Craigavon Leisure Centre have been switched to Monday evenings from the traditional Thursday slot in a bid to increase outside interest.

Officials have registered two teams within the Ulster League - with the A side aiming to push on from last season’s cup section success and the B players out to improve on third from a debut campaign.

“As ever, we are on the lookout for new players so this is a call out to anyone to come along and a have a game with our club players,” said Craigavon’s Nick Rusk. “We have moved our club nights from Thursdays in a bid to entice some more players.

“The first night is free for any potential members and we also have a new Facebook page for anyone interested in getting in touch.”

Rusk can enter the season boosted by a personal achievement following his selection this year for Ulster Masters at the Inter-Provincial Championships.

“It was a lifetime ambition,” said Rusk. “It is an experience I hope to repeat.”
