Gormley takes up senior manager role at Maghery

Maghery have appointed Brian Gormley as senior manager.

The club had two players on show during the weekend Dr McKenna Cup ties.

A tally of 1-4 by Stefan Forker helped Armagh defeat Antrim by 2-11 to 1-4.

Aidan Forker was on show for St Mary’s UC, Belfast against Tyrone in the 1-12 to 0-3 defeat.

ANNAGHMORE

Annaghmore’s opening centenary event will take place on Friday, January 30 from 9 o’clock.

The table quiz is open to teams of five, with admission £5 per person.

A Gala Ball has been planned for Saturday, March 21 in The Glenavon House Hotel, with tickets at £35 and music by The Do Rightlys.

Irish Dancing nights will run each Tuesday from 6.30, with fitness sessions as follows: Mondays 7-7.30 (£2), Wednesday 7-8 o’clock (£3), Fridays 6.30-7 o’clock (£2).

The latest lotto numbers are 3, 5, 7 and 11. The jackpot winner was Ita McGlinchey.

The youth registration night will run on Friday, January 30 in the clubrooms from 7.30.

A meeting for underage coaching staff has been planned from 8.30 tonight (Friday).

Dancers have planned fundraisers as follows: pub quiz on Friday, January 30 from 8.30 in The Famous Grouse; pub quiz on Friday, February 6 in Keegan’s Bar, Armagh from 9 o’clock; night in McKeever’s Bar (date to be confirmed).
