The Birches’ Dave Haugh finished Tullyroan Oval’s showpiece season finale as Irish champion across the Two-Litre National Bangers.

Wayne Woolsey - a double World champion - proved the pick of the Two-Litre Hot Rods field with double delight from the three-race programme.

Woolsey sparked off the evening with victory in heat one. Adam Heatrick, also from the area, came home third in heat two.

Woolsey proved commanding in the main event to finish in front of Heatrick.

The ProStocks class featured two drivers from the town - Steven Haugh and Stefan McClelland - in pursuit of prizes.

Haugh, the current World champion, finished as overall runner-up thanks to progress on the final turn.

McClelland was third in the Irish Revenge final.

Portadown’s Jordan Robinson posted heat success in the Superstox class, plus third before the final.

A fireworks display proved the perfect finale to the season.

The winter programme will open at Tullyroan on November 22 from 2 o’clock.
