Scarva’s Olivia Mehaffey is one of two Ireland representatives selected for the Vagliano Trophy on June 26 and 27.

The nine-strong senior Great Britain and Ireland squad will face a Continent of Europe select at Malone - with Mehaffey’s rise up the Ladies’ Golfing Union Order of Merit rankings securing her spot.

Leona Maguire will join Mehaffey on behalf of Ireland, alongside players from England and Wales.

The teenager can point to a trophy treble in Ireland, Scotland and Wales as evidence of her growing reputation in the game.

Mehaffey wrapped up youth status in the Irish Girls’ Open Strokeplay Championship by securing her hat-trick within the under 18s’ event.

The next triumph arrived in Scotland as Mehaffey sealed the Helen Holm Scottish Open Strokeplay Championship.

Number three in her dream run provided silverware from the visit to the Welsh Ladies’ Open Strokeplay Championship.
