Portadown players opened the outdoor season with a midweek event at the Pleasure Gardens.
A traditional pre-season practice date against Lurgan offered players with the town club’s seniors and juniors an opportunity to return to the game ahead of the midweek official opening ceremony.
Betty Jennings and Seamus McCaffrey - presidents, respectively, of the men’s and ladies’ clubs - raised the flag.
Five rinks took part in competition for the presidents’ prizes.
Theresa McCaffrey, Delores Cassidy, George Richardson and Mark Sproule picked up the win as 60 Portadown members enjoyed refreshments prepared by the ladies’ committee.
A recent indoor tournament hosted by St Saviour’s as part of the club’s 50th anniversary celebrations featured Philip Dennison and Andrew Leckey as the winners.
Dennison of Loughaghery teamed up with St Mark’s Leckey to claim the win in the popular event.
