Andrew Poole and Ken Courtney added another impressive result to the Clubworld Travel New Year Tournament scorecard by claiming top spot around Carrickblacker in week six.
With runners-up the previous placing entering week six, Poole and Courtney enjoyed a strong round of 34.5 points to win section A.
Ronnie Weir and Will Barker were next home on 33 points, with Robert Hughes and Mark Currie completing the top three courtesy of 32.5 points.
Success across the seven-hole countback helped Hughes and Currie edge into third at the expense of two rival pairings.
Eamon Monaghan and Seamus Brown proved the pick of section B on 35 points, one step better than the previous week’s outing.
Melvin Moorehead and Chris Sloan found form for 33.5 points - the partnership’s strongest outing to date in the tournament - to secure second.
Johnny Rankin and Andy Gribben posted 33.5 points for third.
Michael Connolly and Geoff Robinson hold first overall in section A on 43 points entering the final qualifying week.
Derek McCoy and Melvin Hull sit next in line on 33 points.
Eamon Monaghan and Seamus Brown enjoy the upper hand in section B thanks to 45 points, followed by Tom McFarland and John Cassidy on 40.

Drew Cunningham was the winner of the Monday Seniors on 33 points, with Geoff Robinson first across the low section thanks to 29 and Ronnie Berry winning the high section on 32. John Clarke finished as leading veteran on 32.
