Maghery’s Aidan Forker and his Armagh team-mates have suffered relegation to Division Three despite a weekend win over Derry.

Results in the Tyrone draw with Fermanagh and Laois defeat by Meath left the Orchard County seniors down on a gripping final day of National Football League play.

The final points difference tally placed Armagh in the drop zone despite a multi-team tie overall.

Micael McKenna’s goal before half-time put Armagh clear by 1-12 to 0-7 at the interval.

Ethan Rafferty registered a string of frees, with Forker captain.
