A prize fund past the £10,000 mark will be on offer at next year’s Tandragee 100 road race.

The showpiece in the North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club’s 2016 calendar has been confirmed for Saturday, April 23.

Organisers have worked hard to secure a significant financial purse for the 56th meeting around the highly-respected Tandragee route.

“We are delighted to confirm the Tandragee 100 will take place over April 22 and 23,” said Anne Forsythe, honorary secretary of the North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club. “As always, costs have risen but we can offer a £10,000 prize fund.

“All the races, with the exception of the first Open and Forgotten Era outings, will be Irish and Ulster championship events.

“Thanks to our good friends, the Rices, Gerry and Siobhan, of Around A Pound for continued overall race sponsorship.”

Roads will close on the main day from 10-7 o’clock, with changes in place for April 22 practice between 3-9 o’clock.
