RUGBY VIDEO: Nutty Krust ready to kick-off 36th competition

The draw for the first round of this season’s Nutty Krust Cup competition was made at the host club, Portadown, on Tuesday.

This is the 36th consecutive year Irwin’s Bakery and the club have combined to hold the popular tournament.

Regarded as the premier youth competition for clubs in Ulster, it will be an Under-18 age grade event this year.

Brian Irwin (chairman, Irwin Bakeries) and John Kinnear (Ulster Branch president) made the draw.

FIRST ROUND DRAW:

Ballymena v Larne (Wednesday, February 11)

Clogher Valley v Rainey OB (Wednesday, February 18)

Omagh v Banbridge (Wednesday, February 25).

All games are played at Chambers Park, Portadown and, with the exception of the final, have a 7.45pm kick-off.

The three winners will join five other teams - Ballynahinch, Dromore, Malone, Randalstown and the hosts, Portadown, in the quarter-final draw to be made on February 25.

The final is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 29.
